My career, up to then, had been a long slog from the Mail Room at J. Walter Thompson in New York in the Mad Men era to the CEO of the largest Business to Business Ad Agency in Portland, Oregon with clients like Intel and Freightliner and a slew of high tech companies. I founded Z-axis Marketing in 1990 when my board and I agreed to disagree on the future direction of the ad agency. I’ve been consulting and coaching ever since.
